Yaque del Norte Rafting in Jarabacoa from Santo Domingo

You leave Santo Domingo for the rafting ranch in Jarabacoa, where a truck safari takes you down to the banks of the Yaque del Norte, the country's largest river. After you are fitted with a life jacket and helmet and briefed on paddling, you run the rapids in a raft with an instructor on board. Once the descent is over there is free time by the hydroelectric pools before the drive back.
