Cayo Levantado Day Trip from Las Terrenas

You leave Las Terrenas early and drive to Samaná port, where a boat takes you across the bay to Cayo Levantado, better known as Bacardí Island. The public side of the island has white sand, calm shallow water and palm shade, plus stalls for food and drinks. Most of the day is spent on the island, with plenty of swimming time, before the boat and road trip back.
