Cayo Arena from Punta Rucia

From the beach at Punta Rucia on the north-west coast, the boat winds through mangrove channels before reaching Cayo Arena, a small sandbank ringed by a shallow coral reef. You have time to snorkel among the reef fish, swim in the shallow turquoise water and rest under the shaded huts on the cay. Reef-safe sunscreen is recommended, as the coral sits just below the surface.
